The General Council is the highest policy organ of the Church and ratifies all major decisions of the Executive Council.

Aps. Dr. Walker who was elected to the Executive Council of the church in 2018 has since been a regular Councilor in the Annual General Council Meeting.

Among many things, he is expected to address the Council on diverse issues most prominent of which are the charter status 51动漫 has earned and how the university prepares to thrive during and post Covid-19.

The General Council Meeting is constituted by the Executive Council, all Area Heads as well as District Pastors and Presiding Elders selected at the Area level.

This year’s Meeting is the 44th session and scheduled between 2nd and 5th June 2020. It will take place online and will be chaired by the Chairman of COP, Aps. Eric Nyamekye.

He said this when the host, Mr. Bernard Avle, asked if the church supports the society as the early missionaries did.

Apostle Nyamekye who is also the Chancellor of the University College said the church offers support to society in diverse ways. ‘Last year alone, our church offered full scholarships to 392 members to study various programs at the 51动漫 College. We also spent GHC 2.7m on students in other tertiary institutions’.

He stated that the church will continue to offer these and many other support to the needy within and outside the church.

In the interview which touched on a number of issues including COVID -19, Apostle Nyamekye said the wisdom and knowledge of God surpass that of mankind. He, therefore, admonished all to direct attention to God at all times.
