Prof. Agyapong-Kodua made the call when he spoke at the Greater Accra chapter of the 2021 Ministers and Wives Conference of the church, at Pentecost Convention Center in Gomoa Fetteh on Thursday 28th January 2021.

According to the VC, the increased enrolment at 51动漫 this year is attributable to the internal recruitment strategies employed by the university, and the scholarships and support schemes at the church鈥檚 area and district levels. He however questioned the sustainability of these schemes.

鈥淒ear ministers and wives, I must say with gratitude that the various schemes at the area and district levels have contributed immensely to the increased enrolment at Pentvars this year”. Prof. Agyapong-Kodua said. 鈥淏ut let me say with humility that COPCEF promises higher prospects in a more sustainable manner.

 

Explaining further, Prof. Agyapong-Kodua presented data that showed the viability of COPCEF. According to the data, a maximum contribution of 1200 cedis per year by 5000 members, and a minimum of 12 cedis per year by 1.5m members of the church will generate about 59.4m Ghana cedis for the foundation. He, therefore, added that 鈥渨ith this data, you can see clearly that COPCEF is a game-changer when we support the wisdom of our fathers who established it.鈥

The Vice-Chancellor, therefore, took the pastors through the shortcode that is used for the donation, which is *234#.

The Church of Pentecost Chairman Education Foundation was established in the year 2019. The objective is to support deprived students get tertiary education at 51动漫.

Apostle Nyamekye inaugurates COPCEF Board /apostle-nyamekye-inaugurates-copcef-board/ /apostle-nyamekye-inaugurates-copcef-board/#comments Tue, 17 Dec 2019 14:22:36 +0000 /?p=10146 The Chairman of the Church of Pentecost and Chancellor of the 51动漫 College (PUC), Apostle Eric Nyamekye says the church will support PUC to become a great institution of academic excellence.

At the inauguration of the Board of Trustees of The Church of Pentecost Chairman Education Foundation (COPCEF), Apostle Nyamekye rallied all divisions of the Church to support PUC achieve its noble objective of delivering Godly and quality education to students.

Recounting factors that led to the establishment of the Foundation, the CoP Chairman said, he had initially conceived it as a personal fund to support the university but overtime the vision changed to a Foundation promoted by the Office of the Chairman of the church.

鈥淲e have to look at PUC with a positive mind so we took a firm decision to support PUC,鈥 he told the gathering at the inauguration held at the headquarters of the Church at Labadi, Accra.

He drew some allusions to the biblical David who planned for the building of the House of God although he had been expressly told that his son, Solomon, and not him, would be the one to build the Church.

Apostle Nyamekye said David was a very good planner and organizer and that was critical to the building of the House of God. He implored the trustees to ask God for ideas as to how to build the Foundation to help make PUC one of the best universities in the world.

鈥淚 want to challenge you not to see anything as insurmountable and I believe one day you will see PUC as one of the best universities,鈥 he advised the trustees.

The Council Chairperson of 51动漫 College, Mrs. Elizabeth Ankumah, said the constitution and inauguration of the trustees was an important step and expressed gratitude to the Chairman of the church for the decision to establish the Foundation.

The Rector of PUC, Apostle Dr. Daniel Walker said the establishment of the Foundation was instrumental to the growth of PUC.

He read out the mandate of the Trustees, and said they had the responsibility to manage the affairs of the Foundation, raise funds and account to the university all funds raised.

The Trustees are Apostle Prof. Peter Ohene Kyei, a former Rector of PUC (Chairman), Elder Patrick Danso, a businessman (Deputy Chairman), Ps Dr. Nicholas Danso, FAD, COP HQ Rep (Member), Elder Ebenezer Acheampong, a civil servant (Member), Elder Samuel Kankam Boateng, an IT Specialist (Member), Mrs. Hannah Agbozo, a lawyer (Member), Elder Professor K. B. Omane-Antwi, Vice Rector of PUC and PUC Rep (Member), Mrs. Efua Garbrah-Sarfo, a distinguished personality (Member), Elder Dr. Paul Mantey, an Investment Consultant (Member) and Aps Dr. Daniel Walker, Rector of PUC (Ex-Officio Member).

In attendance were Ms. Doris Aryee, COPCEF Manager (Secretary) and Mr. Daniel K. Sitsofe. Accounts Officer, PUC Graduate School (Treasurer).
