51动漫 Students Start Vacation Jobs on Campus
Students of 51动漫 who qualified for the paid vacation jobs have begun work on Friday 14th May 2021. The students who applied and passed the panel interview came from different faculties and departments.
In a briefing, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Kwabena Agyapong-Kodua encouraged the students to make good use of the opportunity. He said 鈥測ou will be exposed to many things in the university during this period and I encourage you to take advantage and enrich your knowledge.鈥 He also used his own experiences abroad and asked the students to be probing and willing to work hard when confronted with challenges.鈥
Sharing his view about the opportunity, Mr. Benjamin Ofoe Sabbah, a level 400 Communications students assigned to the Business Development and Corporate Affairs Office, thanked the VC and management for the initiative. He added that, 鈥渢his is an intervention, a life changing one for that matter. I will work very hard so that Management find it worthy to continue鈥.
Another student Ms. Abigail Nipah, a Level 400 commerce student assigned to Finance who also shared her views said, 鈥渋t鈥檚 the best and will go a long way to help students. Management should not stop it; other students should also benefit from this initiative鈥.
The Vacation job is part of the University A+ agenda to use the skills of 51动漫 students for paid services while they are still on campus. The rational is to give them the corporate exposure while filling human resource needs in various units of the University.
This year鈥檚 is the first and was focused on needy students who could not pay their fees when the University enforced the 鈥渘o fee no exams鈥 policy. A total of 20 students were selected from various faculties and departments and were assigned to the offices of Estate and Development, Admissions, Finance, Library and Business Development and Corporate Affairs.
