Vice Rector of PUC and the Commissioner General of GRA hold Ghana鈥檚 Flag High at the 2018 International Tax Conference
Professor Kwame B. Omane-Antwi, Vice Rector and Dean of the Graduate School of 51动漫 College (PUC) and the Commissioner General of Ghana Revenue Authority, Mr. Emmanuel Kofi Nti, led Ghana鈥檚 delegation of tax experts to the 2018 International Conference of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), the largest gathering of Chartered Tax Practitioners and Tax Administrators locally and internationally.
The 20th聽Annual Tax Conference, which was scheduled to hold from May 8 鈥� 11, 2018 in Nigeria, was organised under the theme:聽Institutionalising Tax-Paying Culture in a Developing Economy.聽It created an avenue for participants to brainstorm, generate and share professional ideas, not only on taxation issues, but also on related national issues that are necessary for the attainment and sustenance of vibrant socio-economic development.
Professor Omane-Antwi, together with Mr. Kofi Nti, contributed to the Conference during the Session on 鈥�The Imperatives of a Robust Fiscal and Regulatory Framework for the Petroleum Industry in Uncertain Times鈥� by sharing the experiences of Ghana as regards Taxation in the Oil and Gas Sector.
According to Prof Omane-Antwi, 鈥渋t was good feeling discussing and sharing experiences in Ghana in such a Conference鈥�.
The forum, in the past, provided an avenue for decision makers in Government and private sector to make objective and feasible decisions when faced with the reality of making fundamental micro or macroeconomic decisions.
This year鈥檚 Conference wasn鈥檛 different.
